California Mall Reality Capture for Redevelopment Project
The concept of the mall has evolved significantly since the 1950s, reflecting broader changes in society, technology, and consumer behavior. Originally conceived as a city center in the post-war era of the 1950’s, Lakewood Center Mall in California continues to be transformed from its mid-20th-century origins to the present. The Planning Committee selected Coast 2 Coast to join their 2020 Redevelopment team because of the company's SCAN to BIM expertise. The Coast 2 Coast team used 3 types of equipment to complete the 3D scans, created a Revit as-built model, and provided a 360 virtual tour.
